In a direct conversation with fellow doctors, nurses and technicians, and patients, Dr. Grujičić was informed about the ways of functioning of the local clinics and also with their problems, she reviewed the working conditions in detail and thanked all health workers for their exceptional sacrifice.
Professor Grujičić repeated her intention to visit all rural clinics in Serbia, as well as to strengthen the primary health care sector as the most important and fundamental part of functioning of the state health system.
"We will do everything to provide new equipment for local health centers and rural clinics, to acquire all-terrain vehicles for doctors who visit patients in remote villages and to employ young colleagues, both doctors, nurses and technicians. We are working intensively to facilitate obtaining specializations, because we want to keep medical doctors in Serbia and employ them as much as possible in clinics which are based in rural areas." the minister of health, prof.
