Minister Lončar Meets the World Bank Delegation to Discuss New Project

On that occasion, Minister Lončar and Shuo Zhang agreed that the new Project, which will primarily address the primary health care sector and chronic non-communicable diseases, represents a logical continuation of the exceptionally successful cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Bank, within which, considerable steps have been taken in the past few years through several projects to improve and modernise Serbia’s healthcare system.

The meeting participants discussed the structure, the schedule and the effectiveness of the new Project, as well as all the details of the activities planned by the project. The value of the Serbia Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control Project is 70.7 million euros, and it is expected that, following ratification in the National Assembly, its implementation will start early next year.
