Dr Zlatibor Lončar, Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, met today with Emanuele Giaufret, the EU Ambassador to Serbia, with whom he discussed several current topics related to the general health situation in Europe, as well as the improvement and expansion of cooperation between the Ministry of Health and EU institutions.
Lončar and Giaufret Discuss Continuing Cooperation

Specific topics of their discussion were the possibility of procuring vaccines and medicines in the context of the recently declared a public health emergency of international importance due to the sudden increase in the number of cases and the spread of monkeypox.
In this regard, Ambassador Giaufret highlighted that Serbia would get maximum support and have at its disposal everything that the EU countries would have.
They also discussed continuing cooperation, as well as its expansion with regard to the already existing programmes in organ transplantation, blood transfusion, tobacco control and non-communicable diseases.
Minister Lončar once again thanked for the very constructive relationship so far and expressed his expectations that in the future that relationship would be even more efficient and specific.
